Post-Digital Angst – On The Dynamics of Angst
As an artistic research project, “Post-Digital Angst” poses the following questions: “How is Angst manifesting across the Digital Milieu? And what form(s) does it take?” Through these research questions, I wish to examine the phenomenon of Angst in the post-digital context by considering the affective economy of the Digital Milieu.
In the second part of the project, I focus primarily on the post-digital Angst of an intersubjective origin. Following a close reading of the works of the French philosopher Emmanuel Levinas, I explore concepts such as “stranger and neighbour”, “proximity”, and “visage” by situating them in the Digital Milieu and considering the possible implications they may entail.
